At NAVALE, delivering premium marine decking solutions in Australia starts with experience - and General Manager Garry Boomer brings a comprehensive background that underpins every project.

Originally from Ireland, Garry studied in Edinburgh, where he met John, now one of NAVALE’s directors. After relocating to Australia in the early 2000s, he began his career in the marine industry, starting hands-on before quickly progressing into a Service Manager role. He went on to oversee commissioning and after-sales for globally recognised brands including Beneteau and Lagoon, developing a strong foundation in quality, systems, and customer expectations.

After a move to the Northern Rivers region of NSW for a sea change, Garry later expanded his experience across construction, national operations, and infrastructure, managing large-scale customer networks, procurement, and operational delivery across Australia. He also co-founded an adventure motorcycle business in Northern NSW, where he developed strong commercial and leadership skills navigating both growth and challenging market conditions, as well combining two of his passions - motorbikes and adventure.

Today, Garry brings together marine expertise, operational leadership, and hands-on trade experience to lead the delivery of Flexiteek marine decking across Australia, including the latest generation, Flexiteek 3. With increasing demand for low-maintenance, durable alternatives to traditional teak decking, he is focused on ensuring every NAVALE project meets the highest standards of finish and performance.

For Garry, the most rewarding part is the full process - from working with boat owners to refine their vision through to seeing a completed deck leave the workshop looking exceptional.

Outside of work, he enjoys time at the beach, in the surf, and heading off on family adventures with his fiancée and children.
